… could potentially match Tier 1 performance.
But those systems typically start around $30,000 and up.
For most homeowners, that’s not practical.

- You are not concerned about VOCs or odors
- You prefer a hidden system
- You understand filtration won’t match room-level Tier 1 HEPA units
It is often more about convenience than maximum performance.

Standalone Tier 1 purifiers are better when:
- You want the strongest possible filtration in your breathing zone
- You care about VOC and odor reduction

In my own home, I run standalone units in the rooms I occupy.
